The SEC Session
Today, the SEC meeting was held at the Supreme Election Commission. The commission created the special group for observing the printing process of ballot papers for the 2020 Parliamentary and Supreme Council Elections, which will be conducted on October, 31.

Webinar for Representatives of Political Parties
The Supreme Election Commission in partnership with the International Republican Institute conducted training for the representatives of political parties. The meeting was opened by the Chairman of SEC Parmen Jalagonia and Senior Program Officer of IRI Nino Dolidze. Experts on electoral issues Nino Dolidze, Irma Pavliashvili, and Robert Maglakelidze led the meeting.

The Deadline for Submission the Party Lists is Expired
Today,the deadline for submission the party lists by registered political parties and election blocs has expired at 18:00. After submitting the party lists, the process of verifying the lists begins. The relevant office will examine the submitted documentation and provide the SEC Chairperson with the report no later than October 5th.

The Rules for Nominating Party Lists
The Law of Autotnomous Republic of Adjara “The Law of Elections of Autonomous Republic of Adjara” –defines the rules for nominating party lists for independently participating parties and election blocs. Every party and election bloc have a right to nominate their respective party lists. Party lists must include, at the very least, 18 to, no more than, 30 potential members of the Supreme Council.

17 September Meeting
The commission session was held at Supreme Election Commission on September 17. The commission adopted a decree on defining sequence number for electoral subjects. The sequence number of the electoral subject shall be determined no later than the 30th day before the E-day (October 1)
