The Supreme Election Commission of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and the Supreme Youth Council have begun informational meetings with students living in the Adjara region. Today, the Chairperson of the Commission, Parmen Jalaghonia, spoke about the impact of disinformation on the electoral process.
Rusudan Ananiashvili, Head of the Institutional Development Division of the SEC, provided detailed information on the role of international organisations in electoral processes, the mandates, election observation standards, and code of ethics.
The informational meeting series continues for three days and covers essential topics, including elections and democracy, electoral systems, election principles, disinformation, the impact of social media on electoral processes and other related subjects.
